Using the Lima crime map
Explore historical crime reports in Lima. Search a hotel, pickup or destination address to see its mapped area, or select an area directly.
Check an address before you go
Enter the street and number, including the district when you know it. Read the selected area’s name and reports, then compare another address using the same report type and period.
What this map covers
The Lima, Peru map shows district-level reports from MININTER / SIDPOL, with homicide and population indicators from MININTER. Miraflores, Barranco and San Isidro are separate districts. An address selects its mapped district; the colors describe the district rather than an individual property.
Check the reporting period
Choose a report type and read its available period. Coverage can differ by category and year. These are historical records, not live alerts; the latest available data may cover only part of a year.
How to read the colors
Colors compare the activity measure for the selected report type and period. Scores account for area size and months covered; the combined index also weights incident types. Gray does not prove that no crime occurred. Use the reports as context, not a guarantee of personal safety.
